So I just finished my first week of college. I'm studying Theoretical Physics in Trinity College Dublin (who incidentally appear to have finally made it into the top 50 universities in the world, hurray for Ireland). It's fairly great so far. 2/3 Maths, 1/3 Physics. Who could complain? Well, except for the fact that it means about 2 hours getting the bus every day.

As is expected, I spent all my money in Freshers' Week joining every society imaginable. I'm obviously not going to be able to keep up with them, but we'll see how it works out... I only have about 20-25 hours of lectures a week, so that gives me time to volunteer with the VdeP, and go to meetings with the random political societies I joined, and hopefully learn the flute, and other things like that. We'll see what happens. I joined the photography society too, so lord knows, I may actually take a photograph again, ever.

You're the one doing the stalking. : p Unlikely I even knew of your existence on boards over a year ago when I sent that message, so I probably found your page through a "nearby users" search or something similar.

It's possible the lake thing isn't even that deep, but even still, I wouldn't be too inclined to test it out.

Dublin City Council is to introduce a ban on eleven breeds of dog from properties including houses, flats and estates, with immediate effect.

The breeds are: English Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd (Alsatian), Doberman, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Japanese Akita, Bull Mastiff, Japanese Tosa and Bandog. Cross-breeds of these dogs or crosses of these dogs with any other breed are also banned.

Owners will be given the opportunity to rehouse the dogs but if alternative accommodation cannot be found for they will be destroyed.
